Massachusetts State Rankings
- Every Massachusetts resident who participates in a SAAM Ranking tournament is eligible for a state ranking in their respective division. Out of state residents who shoot for a MA Archery Club are also eligible for a MA state ranking.
- To calculate a ranking, each archers three best finishes are averaged. If an archer only shot two events a 99 is averaged in for their third event. Similarly if they only shot one event, 99 would be entered for the other two events. In case of a tie, total arrows are used for the tiebreaker. Each event consists of a maximum 600 points except for the 2006 SAAM Mail In tournament which was a 300 round so these scores, if used, were doubled. Scores from the Indoor Nationals which was a 1200 round were only used in the event of a tie.
- Although it is hoped the list accurately reflects each archers eligibility, score and ranking for each event there may be errors. If you are aware of an error or omission, please send an e-mail to the chairman of the Ranking Committee, G. Stewart Renner so the list can be corrected to accuratly reflect the actual results.
Please note: There were a number of errors on the 2008 Indoor Rankings which have now been corrected which resulted in a number of division rankings being changed. Please be sure to review the results carefully and if you discover any other errors please let me know. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused. Posted 1/11/09
